Hi, welcome to Little Pink Heart Designs. My name is Samantha or Sam or Sami, I like them all. I have finally decided to share some of the creations that I have been making over the years, and hopefully you would like to share some with your friends and family.
So a little about me, I was born in Sheffield, South Yorkshire and lived there until I was 21, and then moved to London. Since then I have lived in Kent, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, back to Kent and we are soon to be moving to North Devon. I say we, that’s my hubby John, and my 2 crazy cats Daisy and Ruby.
I have always loved stationery, and even in my teens I had to have the rainbow of colours of pens and cards. My sister told me recently, that her and my youngest sister often popped into my bedroom to borrow some brightly coloured card…. I never knew! Clearly I had way too much even back then. My mum in law Pauline showed me the love for making handmade cards over 15 years ago and I have been making and purchasing goodies every since. Being able to personalised a card felt extra special, and I remember one Christmas deciding that everyone was getting their own Cricut cut personalised cards….. I still love those cards today despite the hours/days it took to make them.
Stampin’ Up! came into my life in 2013, when I just bought a few little items to try, within 3 months I purchased my kit and was loving the how the ink and card matched perfectly, and could not wait to tell everyone I knew about the lovely products. Even now I look forward to the new catalogues to see what ideas and products have been launched and I don’t think that feeling will every go away.
My day job is as a HR consultant and I am passionate about supporting managers to do some of the best and worst parts of their jobs. I am a trained Mental Health First Aider and this has allowed me to give guidance to help many people in my career. I have also been a school governor for the last 4 years and enjoyed giving something to my community that felt worthwhile and useful.
So for the last 18 months I have been thinking about setting up this business, had many lists of names and ideas in many notebooks, highlighted with my favourite pens and doodles and now, here we are.
